He looks like?

Every pregnancy is different & so is every child. My pregnancy was the easy one except for the delivery time. But I bet all the deliveries are tragic and painful. My boy met me after a cesarean operation. I was happy to hold him but I was not prepared to be a mother, not even after nine months of pregnancy. I knew all about having a child and being with one, but theory and practical is way different. How can I stay awake all night and day? How can I know which cry means what? Still, after months of experience, I was comfortable handling my baby on my own. I was tired of all the gyaan from everyone. I knew one person who would not judge me if I asked her for some help. It was my professor from postgraduate college. She told me something that I could never even imagine, “Archana, there are many reasons why a baby cries, but in an attempt of calming the baby we panic, and babies understand panic from our touch.” I gave a thought and practiced being calm when he used to cry, it worked like a miracle. It helped me a lot throughout the first two years.
As soon as the news was out about the baby, I received messages and calls from friends & relatives to congratulate & the next question used to be, “Whom does he look like?” What question was that, I don’t know whom he looks like. He looked like a human baby, what else. But this question became much common. I used to spend hours looking at him to figure out, but I had no answer.
All my side of relatives say, he is just junior version of me & my husband’s side of people say, he looks like him. I & my husband have argued over this topic many times and we have come to the conclusion that he looks like me. He must, what option he has. My baby has spent more time with me not my husband so he has to look like me.
Last week, a masseuse visited our house to massage my mother in law. After one hour of the session, she was waiting for the tea and my son who is 4.5 years old now was playing toys in the living room. That lady told my mother in law, “Your grandson looks just like you.” I had a mini attack in the kitchen. “What are you saying lady, he is my son and he looks like me. Please go and check your eyes. Even though you are saying this, we are not going to pay you more or invite you ever again for what you have just said.” I could not say all this to her this was all conveyed to her by my face and eyes while handling the cup of tea.
So, its period, my son looks like me & no one else.
