I have an elder brother and he is blessed with a sister. I have always wished for a sister, especially when I watch movies in which how sisters stand like a rock for each other, I feel jealous and a little sad that I don’t have one. Although I have cousin sisters but it’s still not the same.
I wanted a sister with whom I could share my secrets, gossip with her, who would listen to me sob and cry with me in my joy. The kind of a sister who would break the bones of a person who trouble me or slap me hard when I am wrong. Yes, I am totally filmy when it comes to relationships.
In the end, I think God decided to bless me after 24 years…no, my mom did not deliver a baby girl, but I met 2 sisters from another mister. I am talking about my sisters-in-law, one is my brother’s wife whom I call Vahini and the second one is my husband’s sister, whom I call Tai. So, these two came in my life and I was now able to share things with them, the ones that I would not share with anyone. They are all ears to me, they both pamper me a lot, guide me, we laugh together, and we do understand each other in tough times. My brother’s wife makes sure I am super comfortable when I visit them, she cooks my fav meals and showers me with gifts. Both of us complain about my brother and laugh so hard when he stands right in front of us knowing the fact that we are talking about him. My husband’s sister acts like an angel, she listens to all my frustration and never judges me, she too cooks my fav dishes and showers me with gifts.
So, I have finally settled with God and am fine with these two sisters of mine. In the end, what is important that I should be showered with gifts and be able to gossip. Well, who does not love to be loved and always remember sharing is caring!
